Prokhor Coval
PC is a reserved individual. He prefers to simply stay in his lab and work until the day is over.He is a man of action over words entirely due to his line of work. On his homeplanet of Caerra, there was a war to end all wars. The common belief was that romantic attachments had caused the start of the war. Thus, when the survivors were attempting to preserve what was left of the world, they pointed to romance as the guilty party.Due to that, the organization that PC works for (The Scientific Community) has regulated close relationships of its members under the tenet that all members are required to view all living life as equals, they are forbidden to hold one life above another.This caused for PC to retreat inward. He rejects affection and the companionship that surrounds him, yet he longs for it to be mutual. A kind man at heart, PC was forced to conceal his true motivations.He is as gentle as he is sharp.PC has resorted to being a man of action rather than a man of words. This, however, was not his choice. He finds words much easy to come by than actions, but in order for the ones closest to him to notice that he is not as cold as he lets on. It is up to his loved ones to read into his actions and what little words he does utter to find his true emotions.He also has a very strict moral code that he lives by. Breaking this moral code is one of the worst things PC could ever do in his mind. He believes his ideologies to be just and is not afraid to evoke that justice upon others.
Jacou
A Poet from the foreign planet of Caerraklast, Jacou is an extroverted sap looking for love.He roams the now apocalyptic-esque planet searching for the one to call his own. However, he entounters many roadblocks on his quest for true love. Jacou believes his romance endeavors should mirror his poems, and if he does not see his partner reflect what he has written in his poems, things will get deadly.After years of searching, Jacou finally took time to reevaluate his perspective on the world at large. In doing so he traveled to a remote town in which he met a man by the name of Prokhor Coval, otherwise known as PC.Unexpectedly, PC offered Jacou residence in his lab so long as Jacou helped out with experiments.As the two grow unpredictably close, Jacou finds that despite his personal growth, he couldn't find it within himself to not hold resentment towards PC and his gentle touches. Jacou would do anything for his scientist and he expects that level of commitment back. His frustration towards his position in life is only fueled by the nature of Jacou being overly jealous.Jacou harbors extreme hatred towards PC's superior, Duilio, as Jacou is one of the few people able to see the fallout of Duilio's words.Our poet's story does not end in an act of love or revenge. Instead Jacou goes down with the sinking ship of Caerra. Becoming a full on host for a mind controlling parasite known as Cerephage, Jacou goes on a homicidal rampage before turning his violence inward towards himself. In his final moments, he is held in the arms of his closest friend, Eddie, and in the distance he can make out the figure of PC staring back at him.
Sir Duilio
Duilio is one of nine head scientist that oversee The Scientific Community. His role is to mentor the scientists under his supervision and to handle any insubordination that may arise. He is regarded as the most personable of the head scientists. Where many within the community distance themselves from others as to not subconsciously show favoritism, Duilio manages to find kindness in his heart towards all equally.Before he was a scientist, he travelled with a group of people who found themselves all over the globe. Their travels were no mere wanderlust, they sought to save the people of Caerra from the heartbreak that is growing old on a forsaken planet, to prevent a future generation from being saddled with the troubles of a planet they could not save. They would go from town to town, killing inhabitants in the name of love.Duilio was still young when he was offered a position in the Scientific Community and unlike his peers he still dreamed of ways to save his home. So he agreed. But before he took his oath, his vow of equality, he gave one last act of love to his family: death.In the plot of The Glaciklad Report, Duilio struggles with remaining true to his oath. A certain ginger siren and reclusive scientist has stirred up memories of loves Duilio has lost. Loves that Duilio would do anything to recreate. Where Duilio is able to insert himself into PC's life naturally, he cannot do so towards Eddie. Scientific messangers are far different than scientists, he cannot capture her quite as quietly. And if he cannot have her in the palm of his hand, he wishes to show her the type of love he was once very family with.
Danny Khouri
An absent minded FBI agent who appears more concerned with recording the odd occurances surrounding Thallaco than the safety of the residents.Growing up in Wisconsin, Danny lived a typical suburban life with his mother, father, and twin sister. Danny never attempted to make friends as he was far more interested in what professionals called an "overactive imagination". Ever since he was a little boy he could recall being caught up in vivid daydreams centered around a foreign man and his tumultuous life.In his mid twenties, his sister is found dead within the town boarder of Thallaco. Unsatisfied with the cause of death, Danny discarded his aspirations of becoming a script writer and instead applied for the FBI in hopes of gaining some answers. His pursuit led him to being able to open an investigation on the town of Thallaco and the increase in unexplained deaths and crime.When he arrives in Thallaco, he is met with the very same man that has plagued his mind since childhood.
Yermolai Marshak
A stoic Snezhnayan archaeologist with a concentration on Khaenri'ahn culture.After fleeing his home due to events he'd rather not speak of, Yermolai travelled the world of Teyvat. He stayed in home to home until eventually a kind Snezhnayan merchant named Ivanovich took him in. Ivan purchased the two an apartment in Liyue Harbor. He claimed that he would need it for buisness and that Yerm was welcome to stay there, however, the truth is he bought the place with Yermolai in mind, securing him a roof to sleep under. Nonetheless, Yermolai still refuses to take the bed and exclusively sleeps on the couch.His archaeology expeditions have forced Yerm to travel outside of Liyue. During his trips to Mondstadt, Yermolai requests help from the knights of favonious and develops a professional relationship with a certain calvary captain. Yermolai found someone that he can rely on to get the mission done and Kaeya found someone who believes nobody could ever betray him. In the early stages they were not on good terms, but through continued close proximity the two began to gain a mutual trust. A silent agreement was made one drunken night: "I won't manipulate answers out of you and you won't do the same to me".Due to this Yermolai had no idea that Kaeya was Khaenri'ahn for years of their friensship nor did he have any idea who his brother was until Diluc returned to Mondstadt. And in return Kaeya knows virtually nothing of Yermolai's past in Snezhnaya.
